GCI offers a range of consulting services to companies, civic entities and NGOs, including project consultation, technology support, design programs, media and publishing development, specialized marketing, event production, business development, talent, and partnership resources.

Green Century Institute works with a number of partners with enabling resources, including Visible Strategies of Vancouver, whose see-it – strategy and mapping tool is fast becoming the global standard for managing sustainable business and community initiatives. GCI is working with Bay Area cities and organizations providing consulting and implementation of tools and systems such as see-it. GCI also advises clients on partner and talent resources, and represents the services of Bright Green Talent, the leading executive search and recruitment firm placing environmental leaders in organizations worldwide.

Michael Gosney
Michael Gosney is a pioneer in Information and Communications Technology, having produced groundbreaking desktop publishing and multimedia projects in the 1980s, and a variety of digital media projects and events in partnership with firms such as Apple Computer, Kodak, Toshiba, Peter Norton, GTE, and Microsoft through his companies Verbum, Inc., Radio-V and Cyberset. He is an expert in new media design and marketing, online media delivery and interactive content development. He has produced San Francisco’s Digital Be-In, an annual gathering of the socially conscious technology community, since 1988 (www.be-in.com). Gosney began researching and publishing material on environmental sustainability in the early 1980s when his Avant Books released Deep Ecology, edited by Michael Tobias, After Eden by Michael Tobias, and Arcosanti by Paolo Soleri. Gosney joined the Board of Trustees of Paolo Soleri’s Arcosanti ecocity project in 1995, and produced the Paradox Conferences at Arcosanti in 1997, 1999 and 2001, bringing together leaders in cyberculture and sustainable community development. In 2002, Gosney co-founded the Green Century Institute in San Francisco to research and educate the public on sustainable community solutions. GCI co-produced the Green Cities Expo during the June 2005 UNEP World Environment Day in San Francisco with Al Gore, Daryl Hannah, and the 2006-2008 Earth Day Digital Be-In events with Paul Hawken, Janine Benyus and other sustainable culture and green technology leaders. Gosney currently develops media projects through his production company Cyberset, and consults on sustainability initiatives and ventures through GCI.

Marc Kasky
Marc Kasky has served as the Executive Director of San Francisco's Fort Mason Center since 1980. As the driving force of one of the nation's most successful community projects, his responsibilities included planning and management for the conversion of the former military base into a vital center for the arts, ecology, peace and education. He currently serves as Director Emeritus for Fort Mason, working on long term planning, ongoing development activity, consulting with other communities on Fort Mason Center-type projects, and public relations. Prior to his position with Fort Mason, Marc was the Executive Director of the San Francisco Ecology Center where he managed all aspects of the influential environmental education center.

Andrew Lawton
Andrew Lawton is a seasoned environmental management and technology integration professional with over 12 years of experience with software design and information technology project management, and an additional 6 years of combined experience in the field of sustainability in a variety of contexts including: energy efficiency and renewable energy technology assessment, international natural disaster mitigation, environmental policy analysis, architecture, civil engineering, land use planning and construction. He is a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Graduate degree in Environmental Management from Yale University. Andrew has held positions at Autodesk, Commonwealth Club, Rocky Mountain Institute, Sustainable Conservation, Tesselation Inc., Santa Cruz Transportation Management Association.
